Craziest Dance off ever at our Prem this Friday

Two icons of dance.. James Dixon representing Glasshouse tavern and Damian Miller representing Sussex Tavern will go head to head in a good old fashion dance off this friday night at our movie premiere. With the grace of Fred Astair and style of the late MJ these two have been blowing minds for years. Both have agreed to terms and conditions.. one song..one dances then the other emulates or out performs..crowd will decide winner.. typical "You got served" rules apply.

Troy Kneeves in Husky

Yesterday afternoon while sipping latte's at the usual Husky Indy rock scene aka Main deck aka my local coffee shop.. Australia's most infamous bodyboarder Troy Kneeves walks past. We were all gobsmacked to say the least. This dude has to be the most craziest guy ive ever met. He is literally Psychotic.. No idea what he was doing at husky. Jack Mac the trickster managed to get a photo on his iphone as he death stared us and walked on. We were all shitting ourselves.. he was walking into every shop then walking out and had one of his slippers only half on. so crazy. Check out the photo he is just looking straight at us.. haha such a wild man.. swear he was ready to pull out his pocket knife

Half Blood Prince Fashion

Last night i managed to put together the $7.70 for "Mad Monday" (tight ass night) at the movies to see the new Harry Potter flick. Shawn, Ian, Shelley and Jana also came in quicker than you can say "Tokyo Drift" in Jana's Skyline. She did however make one pitstop to collect another drivers pink slip for a previous street race the night before. Regardless.. i love Harry Potter especially the characters Drako Malfoy and Snape (pretty sure i got that right, ssorry potter fans). There characters were in the tooooooooooightest of clothes so sik, so dark.

Just remembered this is a bodyboarding blog...

I just realised the other day its been a few weeks since ive posted anything about waves at all. Possibly way too many other things on my mind right now i guess, the movie, uni, babes.. But yes i received an email last night from Tassie photo Matt Tidelsy who was staying in our neck of the woods with Charels Ward recently. Two pretty cool blokes who made a mess of our local coffee shop, typical Tazzie boys. Anyway heres a shot from a recent session down south, one of my favourite places and definitly one of the better rollers that came through this day. Matty Macarthur snatched bomb of the day but alas i cannot show, could be BANG covers!!! woah

Crazy cuts

Mumma ash loves a good old cleopatra fringe.. shes been rocking it for 4 and half years now. Swear they keep getting crazier. Reminds me of old time coonies days and why Anthony Showman will now nolonger drink out in town.. only known as "Mumma Ash Night" showman went wild groping chicks.. hectic stuff.

Wollongong Night life returns.

After way too many cold winter nights at Husky pub we decided a wollongong night life mission was on the cards. I packed the wagon full of a few innocent wollongong virgins (Bernie, Jono and Jack Mac) and fellow veteran Russ Quinn as we ventured up for Kirrily's Birthday. The trip up was complete with rain, hail and slippery surfaces which got me flaring and negged me out hardcore.. not to mention the serious lack of Berry Passion pop.. alas i had to settle for Original. Reaching our final destination we kitted up and heading to Kiz's for an expected rowdy pre drinks. A mellow crew of adolescence greeted us as a wide variety of black leather ascended on the house party. Dicko and the wolf pack (Dobo, showman) and newly single Ivan Pulic eventually turned up for a wollo night life veteran reuninion and we kicked things off. "Oh chick in the leather hoodie.. oh what are you doing drinking water", "Im Ivan Pulic, i was on the movement board test and im newly single", "Ohh im Damo i wax cars at gassies". A few profanities and write offs of fellow guests ensured great times around the pool table as well as legendary Dancing Damo swallowing Kirrilys pet gold fish. Finally we razzed up some babes to take us to town for the "illa" and got things rolling. Definitly had perfect "buzz on" by this time and proceeded to go wild on most chicks that were within a one metre radius. The "illa" is a cool place with lounges and Ivan and i used this to our advantage - creeping out and starring at chicks in hopes of picking them up.. seemed to work too no idea how. Everyone then began to regualate the dance floor dancing with total babes and mucking around. Some crazy times in wollongong on an unexpected thursday night. Russ "wollo veteran" Quinn continued his night rolling with Nikki McGeach and her crew - one which resembled a poor mans Sonia Kruger off that show Dancing with the stars (See Photo). Fake Kruger as she became known later found out Russ was heavily involved with singer songwriter Nestle and decided to get out of there for young rookie Jack Mac. Fortunatly Jack Mac had been kicked out at 11:58pm for a satisfactory effort on the dance floor although proclaimed that "i was just about to hook up with that tall blonde chick too". Poor Fake Kruger had to settle for a cab ride home and 6 Mc Nuggets in drive through.

Movement Mag

Movement (Bodyboarding mag) 29 has hit stores.. i wouldnt normally promote such trivial things such as magazines but yer this is bodyboarding and plenty of my friends and south coast rippos grace its pages. Soo good to see Ivan Pulic get some shots and recognition for his riding on the Bali Board test. Also James Kates and Jase Finlay's Euro trip is in their too. The new movement site also looks pretty sweet. Russ Quinn with his well vamped video resume on vimeo raised some heads and he was also invited on the Bali board test. South Coast Register.... BANG Covers

Just incase some of you forgot or arnt aware.. yes my bro does work at the south coast register newspaper and yes i did get front covers... Im sure all of you were wondering.. "did this get him chicks?" well no it didnt just a few myspace and facebook adds. But im sure if i promoted it more then maybe.. the possibilities are endless :) Always for the love of chicks.. always.

My holidays have finally started: two calls in two days

Walking through Vincentia Public for the last time i was wondering when the prospect of 3 weeks of holidays would finally sink in. The last few days have definitly greeted me with quality waves, just what you expect from south coast ledges.

Tuesday: Tuesday afternoon three of us were losing our minds as we usually do at our local coffee shop. I had a feeling that the swell was going to hit that arvo and despite pleas decided to punch a mission down to the heavily localised reefs of sussex inlet. That arvo provided us with a quickly increasing swell and some long peeling left handed tubes and ramps. The swell was on the increase all arvo with our last few waves a solid 4ft pushing 5ft. The call for the arvo was "mechanical" as we enjoyed the last few moments of light.

Wednesday: Woke up for the early, two car loads, full on convoy of "Vincentians".. "pretty gay thing to do but hey thats what you do when your young i guess"(Jono Bruce). Straight to nuggs which looked fun but full of wigs, lucky i had been given the hot tip by south coast hellman Riley Conlon the day before who said head to twos. With noone out twos the six of us threw our slender frames into some heaving caverns enjoying the solid 4ft conditions. Shout outs must go to Jono Safinski for throwing himself into many heaving pits without making one barrell and also 13yr old lewie who caught as many waves as humanly possible in a 2 hour session.
