Sporting egg carton shin pads and op-shop apparel, team Shoestring marched onto the soccer fields at Sussex tonight and assassinated the Kermits 5-4. Onlookers were stunned by the unexpected aptitude of team Shoestring in their debut match. In a Forrest Gump inspired story, Jono Safinski ignored doctor’s pleas to rest his knee and took to the field in a rather aggression fashion. Within three minutes Safinski took out ‘the menace’ in a savage tackle from behind and showed no remorse. The girl was stretchered off by paramedics. Shawny was dominating the field in the first half but was sent off by Kiz after an own goal through the legs of Toss. After a succinct "SEAYA" Kiz took to the back and began hurling abuse at the opposition. A quick scuffle broke out but it was soon resolved. Team Shoestrings will be running training sessions at 6:00AM Wednesday mornings, cardio Thursday evenings and liver treatment Friday nights. Next game is 7:30PM next Tuesday at Sussex. SEAYA there!
