I don’t know about you guys, but lately my myspace has been inundated with fancy bulletins promoting Sublime (aka "subbies") nightclub in Sydney. Correct me if I’m wrong, but when did paying ridiculous cover charges and consuming copious amount of ecstasy become sublime? Gone are the days when adolescents would attend nightclubs and parties with a bottle of passionpop in hand and a healthy morale. I’m in no way condoning binge drinking (despite being quite the avid passionpop consumer), but its getting out of hand. And as if one isn’t enough, I’ve heard of cases (Big Day Out) where people have taken up to 6 pills to get them through the day. Do the math; at $25 a pill, that’s over $150!!! Perhaps I’m just not in vogue or I was absent the day when Methylenedioxymethamphetamine became a schoolyard term. But wouldn’t you be better off saving the coin for a holiday, minus the short-term memory loss, blurred vision and brain damage?
